Adalyn's Newborn pics by Daddy

Adalyn is a month old today!!!  We have her newborn pictures edited that Nathan did.  :)  Ready to take her one months tonight.  Slow down time.

Nathan went back to work Tuesday.  Jonah, Adalyn, and I have been hanging out.  They are so good.  No major problems to report yet!  I even got a shower yesterday, with one awake (Jonah) and one asleep.  I was able to wash bottles a handful of times, vaccuum, do some laundry, and tidy up.  We will see what I can accomplish today!

Adalyn had her two week check up Wednesday.  She gained 10 ounces!  She now weighs 7lbs, 9oz, and gained a 1/2 inch, so is 20 inches long.  She's a healthy baby~we got back September 4th. Here are some random pictures.  We have some newborn shots of Adalyn, just waiting on Nathan to edit before I post.

Jonah is teething so he has felt a little puny.  I love the pictures of him playing in his room.  He has been so cute today, in between cries of pain.  He played this morning with us, but wanted some alone time.  He kept going to his room and closing the door.

I walked in to find him looking out his window with his friends Minnie and Puppy.  Love this kid!

Again, can't figure out why my pictures are turning?  They are saved upright.  Anyone know?

First Trip to the Doctor

We survived having to be somewhere at a specific time!  Woohoo!  When they told us we had to be up at the doctor office at 8:30 Monday morning, when we left the hospital Friday, I didn't know if it was possible.  Adalyn is a little jaundice, and had lost a little bit of weight, so we had to go weigh in. She still is figuring out eating without falling asleep, so we have to keep on that.  She had to get a heel prick to get levels checked.  She was a little high, but not too much over, but we go back Wednesday for another weigh in and to see if levels are better.  If not, she will have to do the "special blanket" at home to try to get levels up, but hoping we do not have to mess with all that.  The nurse acted like she would be fine by then.

Jonah is still so sweet with her.  He gives her kisses, says "sister", and if she is sleeping will tell us "shhhhh" and hold finger to his lips.  He does not like us feeding her, and takes the bottle away.  I don't know if he thinks we are hurting her or what! :)

Meet Little Miss Adalyn Joanne Doyle

She's here!  Hard to believe she came before her due date of August 7th, but Adalyn Joanne joined our family Wednesday, July 29th, at 8:41a.m., weighing the same as her big brother did, 7lbs, 5oz., and 19.5 inches long.  When we came home, she only weighed 6lbs, 13oz.., so we go tomorrow (Monday) for a weight check.

All is well.  Jonah LOVES his baby sister.  He says "sister" now all the time, gives her kisses on the cheek non stop, and might fake cry a little when she does (sympathy cries?). :)

We are very blessed and enjoying life with both of our kiddos.
