Mommy's Copycat
Jonah's new thing he has discovered is his tongue. I will stick my tongue out at him and hold it out and he will start moving his tongue out. It's so cute because when I do it he isn't messing with his tongue to begin with!!! I love my copycat!

Our little one monther!
Happy One Month
to our Jonah Bear! August 13th Jonah turned one month. We celebrated with a photoshoot with Daddy! Here are some stats on Jonah from when he was born and the 4 weeks doctor visit.
Here's a picture of Jonah at his first doctor visit at 6 days and his next one at 4 weeks! He has two different outfits for the 6 day one because he peed on his outfit right before we left! HAHA!!!
Jonah has grown so much in just one month. He usually eats 2 1/2-4 oz. every 2 1/2-3 hours in the daytime and every 4 hours at night. He still naps lots, but is awake and alert for longer periods of time now.

7 pounds, 5 ounces and 20.5 inches long at hospital
7, 2 when we left hospital
7 pounds, 1 ounce and 20 inches long at first doctor appointment at 6 days old
Four week check-up:
9 pounds, 6 ounces!!!

lifting his head and changing from side to side (just recently has gotten really good at this)
bath time in the big whale tub
going on walks in his stroller from Grandma Debbie and Aunt Jenna

I want to do a one month blog, but I'm waiting on Nathan to edit the pictures. So this can hold you over hopefully until then. I love watching this kid fall asleep. He's hilarious!!!!

Weekend Fun
We had a fun-filled weekend with lots of firsts! Friday, Nana (Nathan's mom) and I took Jonah to his four week check-up. More on that tomorrow with his special one month blog post. :) But, here's a cute picture while Jonah was waiting for the doctor, to hold you over.
Saturday, Nathan's four cousins came over for a visit. I know Nathan enjoyed the visit! Grandma Debbie and Poppy (my mom and dad) came down for a visit, too. They brought my Aunt Denise, cousin Vicki, and her son (my godson), Logan! It was the first time Aunt Denise, Vicki, and Logan met Jonah, so it was exciting. Logan seemed to ignore Jonah for a lot of the day. Vicki and I made the mistake of putting his Curious George and Mickey Mouse dolls in Jonah's bouncer. So, when we took them out and had Jonah sitting in there, he looked pretty confused, like "hey, that's for my friends!" As the day went on, Logan seemed to be more interested in Jonah, and by the time they left, they were best buds having a pajama party. If they take after their moms, then they are going to have some good times ahead of them and be really close!
Nathan and I finally ventured out and used the whale bathtub. We filled the whale tub with water and just kept it on the vanity near the sink, making it much easier, than leaning over the tub and having to hold on to Jonah. He loves the whale tub and it seems to be so much easier than sponge bathing! We are so glad we have had two successful baths in it.
Tomorrow, our little man turns one month old! Hard to believe it, but he's definitely growing and a very healthy boy. We are so blessed and look forward to many more exciting milestones along the way!

Rub a dub dub...
Bath Time Fun
Ok...so we haven't tried the whale tub yet, still sponge bathin', but it's definitely in our future. We have a doctor appointment tomorrow, so we figured once she said he was all healed we would feel more comfortable attempting the bath. Last night, I gave Jonah a bath by myself. He loved it and I even got some cute shots.

Newborn Pictures by Daddy
Newborn Pictures by Daddy...
As most of your know, Nathan enjoys photography as a hobby. He is really good at it, too! We are lucky that we have our very own photographer 24/7 in the house. This will make it nice with having Jonah. Our first project we wanted to accomplish were newborn pictures. It was a 3-day process for sure and we still have some shots in mind that we would like to do. I say "we" because I was the prop/costume designer, and then of course, Nathan had the professional eye and camera. Here are some shots Nathan has edited from our sessions. We wanted to video tape the sessions, and we did some, but after lack of sleep and a cranky mommy, we aren't going to share those videos. P.S.- After doing a pose of Jonah in a diaper, we decided to try the famous "nakie" baby pose. Well, Jonah decided to poop in Nathan's hands while being buck naked! HAHAHAHAH! Nathan handled it well with a laugh. After, he peed all over him, too! This kid keeps us entertained!!!
