Two Months Old
Time flies when you are having fun. Jonah is over two months old now.
Here are some things he enjoys.
swinging in his swing
holding his head up
looking left and right non-stop
laying on Daddy's legs to look up at him
having conversations with us (loves when we talk to him)
sticking his tongue out
laying on his belly in daytime for naps
going on walks
when Mommy says "Jonah/Momma"
lots of smiling and cooing
I took the two month photos this time. Not as good as Nathan, but it's something!

8 Week Check-Up
Our little Jonah Bear had his shots today at his eight week check-up. He handled them like a champ, with tears and fussiness no worse than when he is super hungry. Nathan comforted him and he settled down after about a minute and a half, tops! He is resting comfortably in his swing now. I am hoping he handles it good as the day progresses, since Daddy is mowing. We decided for this first set not to give Tylenol before, and see how he takes. The doctor only recommended it if he had fever and was fussy. We will keep an eye on him and see how he handles it first.
Here are his stats from the last visit:

9 pounds, 6 ounces!!!
21 1/4 inches long

Eight week check-up:
11 pounds, 7 ounces
22 3/4 inches long
She said to expect him to start sleeping more through the night soon! He is about the weight they tend to do so. We will post more about his likes and interests with his two month old pictures we will take in two days! Thanks for checking on our little Jonah! He's sweet!

Our First Grandparents' Day
Jonah had a great weekend! He had many firsts...his first trip to Nana and Grandpa Doyle's house Friday night! I didn't get any pictures of that trip. He also had his first Grandparents' Day Sunday. We celebrated with all the grandparents at our house for a cookout. It was a great day! I hope he can get his first trip to Grandma Debbie and Poppy's house in the near future, too!

All Smiles
Lately, Jonah has been smiling like crazy!!! He has been smiling for a while, but it is a bigger smile and is usually accompanied by a cute giggle. It's the cutest thing ever! It has been so sweet talking to Jonah because he talks (coos) back at us and responds. He really likes when we converse with him. HAHA It melts our heart that when we come into his line of vision, he recognizes us now, and smiles great big with his open mouth smile. Here are some precious pictures I have capture the last couple days.
He was making an "ooooooh" sound here!
Cooler temps mean we can do our walks again! We went last night and this morning! He stayed awake the whole time last night and was smiling the whole way. Cutie!

Mommy's Copycat
Jonah's new thing he has discovered is his tongue. I will stick my tongue out at him and hold it out and he will start moving his tongue out. It's so cute because when I do it he isn't messing with his tongue to begin with!!! I love my copycat!

Our little one monther!
Happy One Month
to our Jonah Bear! August 13th Jonah turned one month. We celebrated with a photoshoot with Daddy! Here are some stats on Jonah from when he was born and the 4 weeks doctor visit.
Here's a picture of Jonah at his first doctor visit at 6 days and his next one at 4 weeks! He has two different outfits for the 6 day one because he peed on his outfit right before we left! HAHA!!!
Jonah has grown so much in just one month. He usually eats 2 1/2-4 oz. every 2 1/2-3 hours in the daytime and every 4 hours at night. He still naps lots, but is awake and alert for longer periods of time now.

swinging in his swing from Nana and Grandpa Doyle
cuddle time on mommy and daddy's chest
lifting his head and changing from side to side (just recently has gotten really good at this)
bath time in the big whale tub
going on walks in his stroller from Grandma Debbie and Aunt Jenna

Weekend Fun
We had a fun-filled weekend with lots of firsts! Friday, Nana (Nathan's mom) and I took Jonah to his four week check-up. More on that tomorrow with his special one month blog post. :) But, here's a cute picture while Jonah was waiting for the doctor, to hold you over.
Saturday, Nathan's four cousins came over for a visit. I know Nathan enjoyed the visit! Grandma Debbie and Poppy (my mom and dad) came down for a visit, too. They brought my Aunt Denise, cousin Vicki, and her son (my godson), Logan! It was the first time Aunt Denise, Vicki, and Logan met Jonah, so it was exciting. Logan seemed to ignore Jonah for a lot of the day. Vicki and I made the mistake of putting his Curious George and Mickey Mouse dolls in Jonah's bouncer. So, when we took them out and had Jonah sitting in there, he looked pretty confused, like "hey, that's for my friends!" As the day went on, Logan seemed to be more interested in Jonah, and by the time they left, they were best buds having a pajama party. If they take after their moms, then they are going to have some good times ahead of them and be really close!
Nathan and I finally ventured out and used the whale bathtub. We filled the whale tub with water and just kept it on the vanity near the sink, making it much easier, than leaning over the tub and having to hold on to Jonah. He loves the whale tub and it seems to be so much easier than sponge bathing! We are so glad we have had two successful baths in it.
Tomorrow, our little man turns one month old! Hard to believe it, but he's definitely growing and a very healthy boy. We are so blessed and look forward to many more exciting milestones along the way!
